The Office of Institutional Research produces various reports on Baylor and students to external sources.
The Faculty Compensation Survey is conducted annually by the American Association of University Professors. It is the largest independent source of data on both full-time and part-time faculty salaries and benefits. The survey collects data on salary disaggregated by gender and faculty rank: professor, associate, assistant, instructor, lecturer, and faculty without a rank. Benefits information includes data on retirement, total health insurance premiums and dependent tuition benefits.
COACHE Faculty Job Satisfaction
COACHE surveys faculty about their experiences and views regarding several important areas of their work lives: research, teaching, services, resources, compensation, mentoring, tenure, leadership and recognition.
The College Board sends their Annual Survey of Colleges to institutions and compiles this information into each participating institution’s College Search profile.
The Common Data Set (CDS) initiative is a collaborative effort among data providers in the higher education community and publishers as represented by the College Board, Peterson’s, and U.S. News & World Report. The combined goal of this collaboration is to improve the quality and accuracy of information provided to all involved in a student’s transition into higher education, as well as to reduce the reporting burden on data providers.
Fiske sends its Questionnaire to institutions and a student survey to current students. It uses this data to generate institution profiles for the Fiske Guide to Colleges.
Global Research University Profile
The GRUP Survey collects data from public data sources and surveys sent to institutions to compile their Academic Ranking of World Universities.
For its Undergraduate Institutions Survey, Peterson’s collects data about colleges and universities around the world from surveys sent to institutions.
The Princeton Review generates The Best 386 Colleges list based on data from student surveys and The Princeton Review college ratings based on data from surveys sent to institutions.
QS World University Rankings collects data from surveys sent to institutions as well as from public and proprietary data sources to compile their annual list of World University Rankings.

US News & World Report uses data from the US News Best Colleges Survey to publish national rankings and profiles for institutions around the country.
