Global Research University Profiles

The GRUP Survey, managed by Shanghai Rankings, collects data on research universities around the world. Participating universities form a representative sample set to describe the characteristics of world leading research universities. Annual survey results, combined with other performance indicators, produce comparisons of research universities at a global level.  
 

The GRUP survey serves as a comprehensive benchmarking tool and allows users to view and compare statistics of 40 indicators (13 indicators about Students, 9 indicators about Faculty, 13 indicators about Resource and 5 ARWU indicators) for institutions in different rank ranges and/or in different regions/countries.
